Call Forwarding FAQs

General Information

With Call Forwarding, you can forward your mobile calls to another phone number, like your home or office number.

You can set up Call Forwarding to automatically forward all calls to another number, without making your mobile phone ring first. You can also have the call go first to your mobile phone, and if you don’t answer or the phone’s in use, the call will be forwarded to another number.

Call Forwarding is included with all plans. It’s also known as “Immediate Call Forwarding” and “No Answer / Busy Transfer.”

You’ll be billed for all forwarded calls according to your voice plan, just like you would if you answered the call from your mobile phone, even if the calls are forwarded to a landline.

There’s no monthly fee for Call Forwarding on most plans, but a fee may apply on some retired plans. Long distance isn’t charged on forwarded calls, if you have a plan that includes long distance.

No, you can’t forward your calls to another number if you don’t have your phone with you. In order to complete the forwarding process, you’ll be required to enter an Online Authorization Code that we’ll send to your mobile device as a free text message.
No, Call Forwarding won’t forward text messages you receive on your mobile phone, only calls.

If callers are receiving a busy tone, you may want to check that the call was forwarded to the correct phone number. Sometimes additional buttons are accidentally pressed while setting up Call Forwarding. If that happens, the number won’t be recognized.
