Discounts by Liv Cellular

Discounts by Liv Cellular offers discounts on wireless products and services. These discounts are for employees of companies, or those affiliated with organizations that have an agreement for wireless service with Liv Cellular.

Discount Hot Topics

Yes, as part of our commitment to support the men and women who serve our country, we offer a 15% discount off most advertised Liv standard monthly plans and features to all military personnel and veterans (excludes data only plans, plans not commercially available or where otherwise indicated).

You’ll be directed to a page where you can enter the Liv Cellular phone number associated with your personal wireless account and follow the step-by-step instructions provided. If asked for your company name and address, enter your branch of service and your last known military address (including APO/FPO, AP/AE etc.).

If you are active military, you can provide one of the following:

  • Your work or government-issued email address
  • Recent paystub issued within the last 60 days

If you are a veteran, you can provide one of the following:

  • Veterans Identification Card (VIC)
  • Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC)
  • Veterans Advantage Card (VAC)
  • DD Form 214 (or any other government issued, legacy discharge document)
  • Military Retiree Account StatementNote: Don’t submit your standard Military ID card (known as the Uniformed Services ID Card).
If you’ve received a notification that your submission was validated, there are several places to view your discount in My Liv.

  • In the Notification Center
  • From the main My Liv menu:
    • Hover your mouse over the My Liv menu at the top of the page
    • Select My Plans & Services
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page for Promotions and Discounts.
  • If the discount has been applied for more than one bill cycle, it also appears on your monthly billing statement.
One of the many ways we like to show our appreciation is by always making sure you get the best value. Whether you’ve accepted a promotional plan that is already pre-discounted, or you’re able to take advantage of the discount available through your employer or organization.

General discount qualifications, unless otherwise noted, apply to plan monthly access fees of $34.99 or higher, and data features of $24.99 or higher, when added to a plan of $34.99 or higher. On plans with separate account and line fees, discounts apply only to the Account Access fees. Prepaid, already discounted, data-only and promotional plans are not eligible for discounts through this program.

Validation

Since these discounts are only available to employees of companies, or those affiliated with organizations that have an agreement with Liv Cellular, we ask that you validate your employment or affiliation with such an organization when registering for a new discount or renewing an existing discount on your personal wireless account.

Since your employment or affiliation status may change over time, we will periodically ask you to validate your status. Validation is necessary to ensure we have accurate information regarding the organization you work for, or are affiliated with, and to ensure you’re getting the discount you’re eligible to receive. If your employment or affiliation status has changed, you may still be eligible for a discount through your new employer or affiliation.

No action is required at this time. When it’s time for you to validate your employment or affiliation, you’ll receive a variety of communications that may include:

  • Email
  • Text messages
  • Bill messages
  • Postal mail
  • Phone calls

The communications will provide you with clear instructions on how to validate your employment or affiliation through a simple online or postal mail process.

Your discount eligibility is tied to your employment or affiliation status, which may change over time. We’ll periodically ask you to validate your current employment or affiliation status in order to ensure we have accurate information regarding the organization you work for or are affiliated with, and the discount for which you are eligible.

After we’ve processed your request, you’ll receive the discount currently available under your organization’s agreement with Liv Cellular.

No. Validation does not extend your wireless service contract. It simply ensures that you’ll receive the discount currently available under your organization’s agreement with Liv Cellular.
Validation will be done periodically. We won’t request it more than once per year.
If you received a notice to renew your discount, please respond within 30 days after the first notification is sent to allow time for processing.

If you don’t complete your employment or affiliation validation within 60 days from when the first validation notification was sent, your discount will be automatically removed. Please submit your validation request within 30 days of receiving your first notice to allow time for processing.

You can re-enroll for your discount by entering your mobile number or My Liv ID in the Existing Liv Customers section to get started.

Please note: If you currently receive a discount but have missed the renewal window, it may be removed while we process your employment or affiliation validation request.

The information you provide will only be used to validate your employment or affiliation status. We value your privacy and won’t use the information in any way other than the stated purpose.

If you’re uploading a paystub or other proof of employment or affiliation, we ask that you black out the following:

  • Salary
  • Tax Amount
  • Banking Information
  • Social Security Number
  • Employee ID Number
The last 4 digits of your SSN helps ensure that the correct customer account is identified for validation. This information is only used for account verification purposes. We value your privacy and won’t use this information in any way other than the stated purpose.
If your employment or affiliation status has changed, you may still be eligible for a discount through your new organization. We encourage you to go through the validation process using your new organization’s information.
No, you won’t be retroactively charged. If you’re no longer eligible, the discount will simply be removed from your account.

How to Validate

To validate your employment or affiliation with an organization that has an agreement with Liv Cellular, enter any Liv Cellular phone number associated with your personal wireless account and follow the step-by-step instructions provided.

You’ll be asked to provide your work email address, a legible copy of a recent payslip or a legible copy of other proof of your employment or affiliation with an organization that has an agreement with Liv Cellular. The pay slip or other proof of employment or affiliation should not be more than 60 days old.

Yes, you can use your smartphone or tablet to validate your employment or affiliation with an organization that has an agreement with Liv Cellular. You can use the camera on your smartphone or tablet to take a picture of your paystub or other proof of employment or affiliation.

The easiest way to validate is to use your work email. If your organization has a unique email domain (i.e. the string that follows the “@” symbol in an email address) and has registered that domain with us, you may be able to use your work email address to validate. To validate using your work email address:

  1. Go to www.livcellular.com
  2. Under the Existing Liv Customers section, enter any Liv Cellular phone number associated with your personal wireless account and click Log In to Validate.
  3. On the next page, click Validate by Work Email Address.
  4. On the next page, verify your mobile number, enter and confirm your work email address and click Validate My Work Email Address.
  5. Check your work email address for a confirmation email sent from , with the subject Discounts by Liv Cellular.
  6. Click the Confirm My Discount link in the confirmation email.
  7. The Confirm My Discount link must be clicked within 72 hours. If the link has expired, please restart this process to resubmit.Note: If the Confirm My Discount link does not display within the confirmation email, enable your email application to display images.
While your email address may be unique to your employer or organization, the email domain (i.e. the string that follows the “@” symbol in an email address) may not have been provided to us by your employer or organization. When an email address is used for validation, the domain is compared against a database of domains provided from employers and organizations. If an employer or organization has not provided the unique email domain to Liv Cellular, we won’t be able to complete the request using email.
After your employment status is confirmed, please allow 1 to 2 billing cycles for any discount updates to appear on your monthly bill.

If you submitted a paystub or other proof of employment, it may take up to 10 days to review and process your submission. If confirmed, the discount will appear in 1 to 2 billing cycles following confirmation.

If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please try the following:

  • Check your spam folder.
  • Check your email application’s antivirus settings.
  • Check with your IT administrator about your network’s firewall settings.
  • Re-enter your work email address.
  • You can also upload a legible copy of a recent paystub or a legible copy of other proof of your employment by going to

Many companies provide electronic copies of paystubs or other forms of proof of employment or affiliation. You can also use your smartphone’s camera, a regular digital camera or scanner to create a digital copy of your paystub or other proof of employment or affiliation. Your document must be in one of the following formats and less than 5 MB:

  • GIF
  • JPEG
  • JPG
  • PNG
  • PDF
  • TIF

The paystub or other proof of employment or affiliation should not be more than 60 days old. Your name, company or organization name and date must be legible on the image you upload.

Please black out the following sensitive personal information:

  • Salary
  • Tax amounts
  • Banking information
  • Social Security Number
  • Employee ID Number

Note: If your employer does not provide a physical paystub, you can submit an electronic direct deposit slip for validation. Just save the document in one of the formats detailed above.

You can track the status of any recent validation submission online, by going to Check My Submission Status and entering your mobile number and billing ZIP code, or your Tracking Number.
The notification you received has instructions specific to your submission. Please follow the instructions on the notification and resubmit your validation submission if needed.
No, to prevent delays, we request that you verify your employment directly with us.
No, you only need to submit one form in your name to validate employment for your entire account.
The work email address you submitted may have been used in a previous discount request with another account. Employment validation can only be processed on one account per work email address.

  • By requesting a manual review, we’ll look at your history and determine if this work email address is eligible for validating your employment for the account you submitted.
  • If you’d like to move your discount, the discount will be removed from the original account you used your work email address on, and moved to the new account you submitted in your current request.
  • You can continue to request the discount be added to another account by submitting a paystub or other proof of employment or affiliation.

We’ll review your work email address to determine if it can be used as part of your recent submission. If we determine the email address can be used, we’ll add the discount.

If you have more than one account to which a discount is applied, the discount may be removed from that account as a result of the manual review request.

If the original account and the account you recently submitted are both under your name, the discount will be moved to the account you submitted with your recent request and removed from the original account.
Yes. If you’d rather submit a paystub or other form of proof of employment or affiliation, you can use the Validate by Paystub option, which is on the screen prompts screen for manual review or to move the discount.

Discount Qualifications

Yes. Liv Cellular offers discounts on wireless products and services to employees of, or people affiliated with, organizations that have an agreement for Cellular service with Liv Cellular.
To see if you qualify for a discount enter your work email address in the section labeled Not Yet a Liv Customer.

  1. A confirmation email will be sent to your work email address.
  2. Once received, click Shop Now in the email to sign up for Liv Cellular service.
  3. The Shop Now link must be accessed within 72 hours. If the link has expired, please restart this process to resubmit.

If you don’t have a work email address, once you’ve signed up for service, or as part of signing up for service, you can submit a work paystub within the last 60 days or other proof of employment or affiliation and we’ll review your discount qualifications.

Yes. The account must be in your name or you must be the approved account manager if it is your employer or organization offering the discount. If the account is in the name of another family member, friend or significant other, you’ll need to complete a Transfer of Service to change the account into your name to be eligible to receive the discount.

No, adding an employee discount won’t extend or change your current Liv Cellular contract.

If you’ve completed your validation using a work email address, please check your work email address and resubmit.
If you’ve received confirmation that you’ve been validated, you may be on a plan that is not eligible for a discount. If you change to an eligible plan, you’ll automatically be set up to receive a discount.

Your discount may have been removed because we were unable to validate your employment.

Over the past 60 days, you should have received notices from us requesting validation. This was to ensure that you’d continue to receive your monthly discount through your employer or your affiliation with an organization that has an agreement with Liv Cellular. Please validate your employment so we can reapply your discount.

If you’ve changed your employer or your affiliation, you may still be eligible for a discount through your new employer or organization. We encourage you to go through the validation process using your new employer’s information.
